Love the hat just ordered the cream to protect

I don't understand it. The chinstrap seems to come off super easily. Maybe I'm putting it on wrong? The instructions on the bag don't make much sense to me. At least have an instructional video.

Not much to it and not leather (I realized that when I ordered it) but it will get the job done.

Good to have with the winds when I am out on the Gulf of America and hiking around.

I should have looked at the product closer. I was hoping since I had a leather hat, that the strap would also be leather. That is not the case, and my fault for not reviewing prior to purchasing.
The strap connects easily, and functions well. I, however, will not use it unless in extreme cases as it seems to devalue the kangaroo leather.
